With its excellent wind resources, the town of Wethersfield is ideally positioned to benefit from a
state-wide initiative to get more energy from renewable sources. On June 17, 2008, Noble held a groundbreaking ceremony to officially mark the start of construction and to celebrate the support of the local community. Presently, Noble has completed construction on the 126 megawatt (MW) windpark, which employs 84 GE 1.5 MW turbines. Over the next 20 years, the Noble Wethersfield Windpark will bring an estimated $77.5 million to the local economy.
