Our Windparks – Main Page

Our vision is to be a leading supplier of clean, renewable energy from environmentally responsible facilities that will be a source of pride and benefits to the communities in which they are located.

As an inexhaustible resource that is pollution free, wind brings new promise for the future – a future where we can increase our energy supply while reducing our dependence on limited fossil fuels; and a future where we can enjoy the benefits of electricity without incurring the environmental costs of extracting, transporting and burning fossil fuels.

Windparks also deliver important economic benefits – especially to the towns that host them. New jobs are created in construction, and long-term maintenance and operations. Revenue from wind projects increases the local tax base, reducing the load on residential taxpayers without placing a corresponding burden on local services. Additionally, landowners enjoy supplemental income from project payments.

Noble Environmental Power works in partnership with communities to build windparks that live up to the wind energy promise in every way.

We are dedicated to establishing open, transparent communications with community leaders and local elected officials. On October 30, 2008, Noble was one of the first companies to voluntarily sign a Wind Industry Ethics Code, established by New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. Walt Howard, Noble's CEO, said,

“Noble Environmental Power has been fully committed to the ethical and transparent development of renewable resources, and supports the work of the New York State Attorney General in this regard. We welcome the Attorney General’s establishment of clear guidelines with respect to ethical behavior and conflict of interest. Noble is dedicated to continuing to operate in conformity with the principles laid out in the Code of Conduct.”
