Schedule/Cost Engineer

Supervisors: Director of Project Support Services

Location: Texas

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of original budgets for assigned projects
  • Provides support and input to the final design, engineering and contract placement for assigned projects
  • Coordinates with the engineering department on schedule and cost implications of design, engineering, and ordering of all long lead materials purchased for assigned projects
  • Works with material management team to provide schedule information related to the delivery
    of all materials to project areas, warehouses and laydown yards
  • Assists with tracking of assigned project Master Service Agreements and Task Orders
  • Initiates comments to assist in the development of changes to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for project support related topics
  • Participates in the turn over coordination process with project team of the estimate, schedule
    and budget for all projects
  • Performs project support activities for the duration of project in support of contract management team after turn over to project teams
  • Provides input to site personnel on submission and tracking of all POs and requisitions for all materials
  • Provides regularly scheduled reporting on status of assigned projects under construction, in
    pre-construction and in various phases of development
  • Coordinates with QA/QC on logistical timeline for inspections of materials at offsite locations
  • Performs work needed to ensure timely submission of all required updates and reports for assigned projects
  • Supports the development of a comprehensive training program related to Project Controls systems for both internal department staff and project team personnel
  • Participates in regularly scheduled and random audits to ensure full compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements for Job
  • Education: High School diploma mandatory - college degree preferred; equivalent miliary or directly relevant industry experience will be considered
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years experience in the Project Support Services discipline with proven track record of success
    • Must have proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task 
    • Strong computer skills
    • Experience with Primavera P3, Expedition or Timberline is required
