Supervisor: Vice President, Engineering
Locations: Essex, CT

- Manages the design, engineering and contract placement for all transmission and substation projects
- Coordinates design, engineering, and ordering for all long lead materials purchased for transmission and substation projects
- Works with Material Management Team to coordinate delivery of all materials to project areas, warehouses and laydown yards
- Develops and tracks all engineering Master Service Agreements and Task Orders related to the design of transmission and substation facilities
- Coordinates with development to support the layout and preliminary design of transmission and substation designs as required to achieve the permitting of facilities
- Coordinates with Development and Interconnection Planning Team to provide technical support for the implementation of transmission and substation designs as required to achieve the signing of interconnection agreements for projects
- Assists in the development and approval of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for substation and transmission related topics
- Provides for and conducts turn over coordination process with project team of the final design, engineering, and contract management for all transmission and substation projects
- Provides oversight of the final design, engineering, and contract management for all transmission and substation projects after turn over to project teams
- Coordinates with Project Managers on submission and tracking of all POs and requisitions for substation and transmission related items
- Provides regularly scheduled reporting on status of all substation and transmission projects under construction, in pre-construction and in various phases of development
- Assists Vice President of Engineering with coordination between Noble and major contractors
- Coordinates with QA/QC on logistical timeline for inspections of transmission and substation materials at offsite locations
- Coordinates with Project Controls group on timeline and schedule updates for all substation and transmission projects

Requirements for Job
- Education: BA or BS mandatory. Preference for Masters in business or engineering or equivalent professional experience. PE a plus.
- Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 15 years experience in the management of substation and transmission design and construction with proven track record of success
- Positive history of strong safety performance
- Must have proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Strong computer skills
