Supervisor: Meteorology Manager
Locations: Essex, CT

- Monitors and controls data quality from meteorological towers
- Identifies data and/or sensor problems and recommends corrective action
- Coordinates with field technicians
- Coordinates with third-party vendors on data management issues
- Researches and develops in-house quality control procedures
- Performs data analysis in support of research, reports and presentations for senior management and external recipients
- Prepares and fulfills internal/external data requests
- Monitors and maintains interface for tower data
- Writes programs/scripts to analyze and quality control data
- Documents data analysis and quality control procedures
- Assists with miscellaneous tasks as requested

Requirements for Job
- Education: B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in meteorology, engineering, mathematics, computer science or related field
- Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years experience in quality control or data analysis
- Must be experienced with Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis or spreadsheet software
- Excellent computer skills including experience with MatLab or similar software, computer programming, scripting and UNIX/LINUX
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with a team or independently to solve challenging problems
