• Monitors and controls data quality from meteorological towers
• Identifies data and/or sensor problems and recommends corrective action
• Coordinates with field technicians
• Coordinates with third-party vendors on data management issues
• Researches and develops in-house quality control procedures
• Performs data analysis in support of research, reports and presentations for senior management and external recipients
• Prepares and fulfills internal/external data requests
• Monitors and maintains interface for tower data
• Writes programs/scripts to analyze and quality control data
• Documents data analysis and quality control procedures
• Assists with miscellaneous tasks as requested

• Education: B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in meteorology, engineering, mathematics, computer science or related field

• Experience/Skills:
  • 2+ years experience in quality control or data analysis
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis or spreadsheet software
  • Excellent computer skills including experience with MatLab or similar software, computer programming, scripting and UNIX/LINUX
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with a team or independently to solve challenging problems
